After weeks (or months depending on your lockdown experience) of overindulging, look no further than the local farmers’ markets to power yourself by plants instead.
Arianne Schreiber has been a conscious food lover for as long as she can remember. She loves making vegan, organic, preservative and gluten free foods all made from scratch.
After establishing a small catering company, she was invited into the farmers’ market community to deliver her healthy and flavoursome meals from her Yummify stall.
All of Yummify’s products are seasonal – meaning the ingredients are dictated by what is available at the time, and they are all organic. And the colour! On visiting the stall, the first observation a shopper usually makes is the kaleidoscopic bounty on offer. ‘My products are all vegan, but I don’t wish to scream that out, I want to attract people who wouldn’t normally come to a vegan stall by offering tasty, interesting and colourful food’.
‘It is a mixture of regular meals that customers keep coming back for, but also I love trialling new things all the time, researching new recipes – that makes me very excited.
Happily, for everyone who might be feeling sluggish and looking to refresh, what the colours at Yummify mean is that the food is full of antioxidants, and Arianne uses almost zero oils and sugar.
While the food available at the farmers’ markets is grab-and-go finger foods, tasty savoury plates or packaged meals to take home, you can also visit the stall to order home delivery; where Arianne will bring to your home, or holiday accommodation, fresh, nutrient dense food… and even high protein desserts in reusable packaging – for healthy, guilt-free indulgence.
Arianne also specialises in vegan cheese. Her range includes hemp parmesan, blue cheese, camembert, goat cheese, mozzarella, baked feta and Persian-style feta – using macadamia and almonds.
Arianne thoroughly enjoys meeting her regulars and visitors at the markets each week, and says ‘It really is one of the most wonderful things to do on a weekly basis in our Shire, you can speak to the producers and just enjoy the incredible vibe, it has such a great atmosphere. For visitors to the region, if you want to get a taste of how the locals live, this is the place to do it’.
