Music lovers can enjoy a free taste of the tenth annual Mullumbimby Music Festival at the Mullumbimby Farmers Market this Friday, November 17.

The market will once again become the breakfast venue for the festival, with live entertainment and performances from festival artists throughout the morning.

Market goers can drop in on ABC North Coast’s live broadcast of the Breakfast Show, which will feature interviews and live performances from festival artists who have performed at the Thursday night opening gala.

Guests in previous years have included Lior, Harry James Angus, Bobby Alu, Baby et Lulu, and the Starboard Cannons.

After a fantastic reception last year, festival artists Ethno Folk Orchestra  – a collective that brings together some of the best young folk artists from Australia and around the world – will be back performing in the shady area behind the market shed.  The group put on a great show last year with plenty of audience participation, and this year promises to be just as much fun.

Adding to the festival atmosphere will be the market’s  usual line up of free live music and busking local musicians, along with some extra surprise entertainment and roving performers.

Mullumbimby Farmers Market Manager Allie Godfrey said the Mullumbimby Music Festival breakfast was always an extra fun morning and a great way to start the Mullumbimby Music Festival weekend.

Along with the music and entertainment, the market has a great line-up of breakfast stalls, excellent local coffee and plenty of fresh produce to fuel festival-goers through the weekend.

• The Mullumbimby Farmers Market Mullum Music Festival breakfast will be held from 8am-11am  Friday, November 17.

Kiddies Plot

Families love the market because there’s always something to keep the kids busy. In the Kiddie’s Plot, little ones can get creative with hands-on activities like gardening and permaculture, screen-printing and arts and crafts.
