Hey, foodies! Prepare for a flavour-filled extravaganza of The Harvest Trails, Taste of Harvest, at the Award-Winning Mullum Farmers Market.
The Harvest Trail is an Initiative of Northern Rivers Food. Now in its eighth year, the event aims to showcase the farms, people, products and stories of the region’s finest foods and beverage producers. It’s the ultimate way of going behind the scenes. If your idea of foodie heaven is tooting along picturesque country roads and
dropping into glorious farms, restaurants, and cellar doors along the way, then the Harvest Food Trail is for you.
For the second year running, the Award-winning Mullum Farmers Markets will be opening the Harvest Trail, on Friday morning, With over 70 stalls, the farmers’ market is a feast for the senses. Indulge in fresh produce and artisan goodies and meet the farmers.
The saying “you are what you eat” holds true regarding the quality of food. It’s no wonder that the farmer’s market is renowned for serving the best breakfast in town. With a variety of cuisines from around the world, all featuring fresh local produce, choosing between them becomes the only challenge.
There’s plenty of seating in this beautiful outdoor location, which is shaded by giant fig trees. It’s the perfect place to daydream, listen to live music, and soak in the atmosphere. It’s the locals’ weekly gathering spot, a celebration of food that is more like a festival than a farmers’ market.
This Friday, 3rd, May we are hosting a Bush Tucker Experience with three very formidable women, Auntie Delta, Mindy Woods and Rebecca Barnes. The event will open at 8.30am with Auntie Delta Kayes ‘Welcome to Country, and Culture – Delta is a proud Bunjalung elder who will share her wisdom and stories.
