Mullum Farmers Markets will be open Good Friday as we are deemed an essential service. It is important that we remain covid safe if we wish to stay open. So please help us make the morning a friendly and safe occasion. We appreciate amongst our community that we have differences of opinions with regards to Covid. But if you wish to support our local farmers and continue to have access to fresh healthy please take the following precautions.

Masks
Mask wearing is not compulsory for outdoor shopping however it is an individual choice if you would like to wear one.  This could change between now and tomorrow so it would be advised to have one with you.
Contact Tracing
It’s vital that the authorities are able to contact trace so we ask all shoppers to use our QR codes to sign in. If you don’t have a phone there will be a book at both entrances. The QR codes will be displayed throughout the market.
Social Distancing
Please practice social distancing and follow the markers and bollards in place.  If somebody is in your space please kindly remind them to step back.
Single-use Vessels
We have removed all wash-up stations within the market. Sadly you will have to use compostable single-use vessels for all food and drinks
Sanitiser/Hand Washing
We will have sanitiser throughout the market and there is hot soapy water in the toilets block. Every stall will have its own sanitiser available too.
Tables
We have spoken to the council and we will be keeping the tables out as they help prevent huge crowds gathering. With most events, it’s requested that people remain seated!!
We will continue to support our musicians this Friday. However, please maintain social distancing and sadly dancing is no longer allowed.

Music

Every Week Mullumbimby Farmers’ Market hosts live music from talented local musicians.

This week’s musicians are:

Main Stage: Jerome Williams

Chinbible Rumble: Phil & Tilley

Coral Ave Cheese: Will Henderson

Jerome Williams

Singer songwriter Jerome is a rising new talent hailing from Northern NSW who is gaining attention and recognition at a rapid rate.
“Funky…because it’s true” – Tommy Emmanuel

Jerome describes his own music as “melodic, percussive, funky, rock based roots”.

He has a unique guitar playing and vocal style, as he seamlessly fuses elements of classic roots with contemporary and progressive genres, bridging the generation gap as a true pioneering young spirit.

Phil & Tilley

Often described as one indivisible unit, they have an understanding of each other’s playing that can only be learnt over time.

They find influence from love, loss and a life on the road, travelling to many countries to share their story. Their debut album Cold Flame has gained them loyal listeners around the World.

Phil & Tilley play a style of folk music that incorporates traditional instruments with new age sounds. Using an upright bass, acoustic guitar and lap steel along with delays to create an ambient soundscape. Blending this instrumentation with vocal harmonies, Phil & Tilley produce a sound that is truely their own .

Will Henderson

Will Henderson is a songwriter, guitarist, trumpeter, and singer. Having learnt violin from 3 to performing solo classical guitar in the Sydney Opera house at 18, he has followed his musical journey around the globe for the last 12 years. Studying Classical and Jazz guitar at the Sydney Conservatorium, his passion for Flamenco and Latin music took him to Peru and Spain looking for teachers, gigs, and inspiration.

Juggling tours, playing upwards of 30 festivals a year and writing bundles of tunes a week, Will has performed and shared a bit of fun across almost all of Europe, Australia and a big part of South East Asia. The Milkshakes and Gimme Gimme were born and life became one big old tour.

Kiddies Plot

Families love the market because there’s always something to keep the kids busy. In the Kiddie’s Plot, little ones can get creative with hands-on activities like gardening and permaculture, screen-printing and arts and crafts.
