Mullum Farmers Market Cancelled,

Sadly due to another extreme weather event, the Mullum Showgrounds has been forced to close its gates once again. This means Mullum Farmers Market will be closed for another week.

Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the floods, including many of our farmers and stallholders.

Many of our farmers will be filling local retailers’ shelves with fresh produce. Check out Santos Organic, Edens Landing and the IGA in Mullum. In Byron check out The Bay Grocer and on Saturday in Bangalow there is a farmers market. Stay safe everyone and we will hope to see everyone next week.

Music

This week we have three amazing musicians playing. One the main stage (Pyramid Stage) is Jerome Williams on the Coral Avenue Stage (Cheesy end) is Tilley and at the main car park (Eggy pop stage) is Phil Howel

Jerome Williams

Jerome describes his music as “melodic, percussive, funky – R n B based roots with a touch of rap and a sprinkling of Jazz”… or as he likes to call it ‘acoustic fusion’. He has meshed together guitar techniques and styles from across the musical landscape coupled with funky soulful / even hard hitting rock / rap vocals that he seamlessly fuses elements of classic roots with contemporary and progressive genres.

Blending such varied influences as Usher, Kendrick ,John Butler, Rodrigo Y Gabriella, Linkin Park, Eminem, Victor Wooten and Ray Charles… one can begin to grasp his scope and incredible ability. Jeromes’ eclectic collection of instrumental and vocal song writing skills combined with his ability to push musical boundaries make this multi- instrumentalist with a captivating smile destined for something big!

Jerome grew up in Melbourne from a long line of music industry professionals and world renown musicians who have played and recorded and performed with with the likes of Bob Dylan, Savage Garden, Jon English Air Supply , Dionne Warrick ,Steve Marriot and Humble Pie to name a few.

Jerome moved to Northern Rivers in 2007 attending the NSW Conservatorium. He studied at UNE and Australian Music Guild
He has worked as a professional musician from Brisbane / Gold Coast / Sth East QLD and Northern Rivers music scene since 2010. His first passion is guitar but is a multi instrumentalist including bass, keys, drums and percussion and Japanese Koto.
