New Artisan Stallholders

Thank you for your interest in becoming a stallholder at Mullumbimby Farmers Market. Please follow the steps below:

Mullumbimby Farmers Market welcomes applications from genuine local Artisan Producers.

  • Artisan Producers or Non Farmers (Value Added) must produce their goods within the same region. Products must be made by the stallholder and, wherever possible, feature locally grown ingredients, preferably sourced from their own production, Mullumbimby Farmers Market growers, or other local suppliers.
  • The Market prioritises products that are grown, sourced, and made as close to Mullumbimby as possible.
  1. Rules MFM
  2. North Byron Farmers Market Inc (NBFM) Constitution

Before submitting this application, please ensure you have read the Mullumbimby Farmers Market Rules and Regulations. By lodging this form, you agree to comply with them and any future updates.

  • Applications that meet Market criteria are considered by the Committee at its monthly meeting. Applicants should ensure they satisfy eligibility requirements and that their proposed products complement the existing stall mix.
  • When an application is supported in principle, the applicant will be required to undertake an independent audit at their own expense to ensure their production methods meet Market standards. The cost of this audit is typically between $250 and $350 and must be prepaid by the applicant.
  • Applicants will be notified of the Committee’s decision in writing. The Committee retains full discretion and its decision is final.
  • Successful applicants must provide current food safety approvals, relevant permits, insurance documentation and any required certifications, including organic certification where applicable, before being allocated a stall and commencing trade.
  • All applications are reviewed by the Committee at its monthly meeting. Shortlisted applicants may be required to undertake an independent audit at their own expense. Successful applicants must provide all relevant permits, food safety approvals, insurance documentation and any required certifications before commencing trade. The Committee’s decision is final.

Currently the Mullumbimby Farmers Market is at capacity with a waiting list in place for any new stallholders. The wait list is assessed against category and product mix when a position becomes available.

Market Management is unable to advise when an opportunity may become available at the market, as it depends on stallholders’ turnaround, but we do actively use the waiting list as when we have to fill rtempoeary spaces or look for a new stall.

Should your application be successful you will be required to pay for a full independent audit on your property. This is non refundable regardless of whether you successfully complete your months trial at the market. The committee’s decision is final.

On successful completion of your month’s trial you will be required to stand for membership.
